A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be stunningly easy in case you have a Linux shared hosting with our company. You can activate this feature through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the web hosting account itself. You’ll find all the email addresses that you’ve set up displayed in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you whether a certain mailbox stores all the emails pertaining to a given domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you wish. If there’s enabled email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a warning notification from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without effort even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you have set up using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you don’t need this feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
